Welcome to the School of Humanities

The School of Humanities is one of three Schools in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Western Australia, Perth.

Humanities consists of 45 full time academic staff, 9 administrative staff and over 3,300 students across the Discipline Groups:

• Classics and Ancient History
• European Languages and Studies
• History
• Linguistics
• Medieval and Early Modern Studies
• Philosophy

The School offers both undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and research) programs.

The School is actively involved in research. The School features several active research groups and centres:

• Vite Italiane
• Centre for Western Australian History
• ARC Network for Early European Research
