Broadening units on offer within the School of Humanities

Honours

Honours usually involves a fourth year of study, developing analytical and research skills through course work and a dissertation that explores a particular area of interest.

Students from other universities can also apply for honours at UWA.

Postgraduate

Coursework

Postgraduate coursework usually involve attending classes and may include writing a thesis. Examples include graduate certificate and graduate diploma courses.

Research

Research degrees focus on research and writing a thesis. Examples include PhDs and master's by research.
