All students at UWA must also pay mandatory fees not related to tuition fees, such as amenities fees, and administrative fees and charges. Refer to the University fees and charges website.

Coursework degrees

Australian citizens and holders of a permanent humanitarian visa have the option to apply for FEE-HELP, a deferred payment loan scheme provided by the Australian Government.

For our postgraduate coursework degrees, payment for units is required by the start of each teaching period and is determined by the number of units you are enrolled in.

Research degrees

Domestic students (Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and New Zealand Citizens) accepted for higher degrees by research will be provided with Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarships, funded by the Australian Government. At this stage no fees will be charged to any domestic student enrolled in a higher degree by research at UWA.

All international students must pay tuition fees for our research degrees, unless they have a scholarship that covers the fees.

Scholarships and grants

There are a number of scholarships available to postgraduate students. View the complete and up-to-date listing on the Scholarships website.
